Test Structure Overview

Listening

30 minutes + 10 minutes transfer time

4 sections, 40 questions
Writing

Listening Section

  • Audio will be played once only – no replay or pause options
  • You will have time to read questions before each section
  • Write answers directly in the answer fields provided
  • 10 minutes at the end to transfer answers to final form

Reading Section

  • Three reading passages with increasing difficulty
  • Variety of question types: multiple choice, matching, completion
  • Manage your time carefully – 20 minutes per passage recommended
  • All answers must be written in the answer fields

Writing Section

Task 1 (20 minutes): Describe visual information (graph, chart, diagram)

Task 2 (40 minutes): Write an essay responding to an argument or problem

  • Minimum word counts: Task 1 (150 words), Task 2 (250 words)
  • Word count is displayed in real-time

Speaking Section

Part 1: Introduction and interview (4–5 minutes)

Part 2: Introduction and interview (4–5 minutes)

Part 3: Discussion (4–5 minutes)

  • Your responses will be recorded automatically

Timing Rules

  • Each section has a strict time limit displayed in the top-right corner
  • You cannot return to previous sections once completed
  • The test will automatically proceed to the next section when time expires
  • Take breaks between sections if needed, but timing continues
